I have Abbey Road, but not the White Album. But I want it...
I think Rubber Soul is my favorite album... it was after they got through the "I love chicks" phase, but before they got entirely strange. It's one of those rare CD's where every song on it is good... do you know what I mean? I definitely have CD's that are only good for one or two songs (not any Beatles albums of course!!)

I had no idea how true that was until I bought the box set-- George was totally essential...
I was born in 1960, so that's actually the year they drifted together as a band-- it'd be another couple of years til they recorded their first album. My older sisters were crazy about them, and I remember being terrified during the whole Paul Is Dead, play-this-album-backwards-and-you'll-hear-another-clue fiasco; I didn't really catch up with them musically until the 1970s, after they'd broken up, so I had Abbey Road and The White Album, but for all intents and purposes, the stuff that came before Sgt. Pepper is really new to me, and I'm just completely in love with all of it.

I totally agree... they were so amazing... I'm too young to have ever seen them all together... John died ten years before I was even born... But even so... they're still really awesome.
I recorded A Hard Days Night off one of my satellite channels and it was uncut!! I was so happy, but then my dad deleted it. Grrr...
It's really sad that John and Paul didn't value George more, because some of the Beatles' best stuff was his. Bitches... lol

Just two months ago I bought the whole box set-- everything they ever did, in the original British versions... I've been listening to them every single day!
I just got A Hard Days Night in the mail from Netflix TODAY-- I haven't seen it since I was a little kid.
I'm actually connecting the most strongly with their oldest stuff, prior to Sgt. Pepper, but it's all so damned good-- I'm amazed at how many of my favorite Beatles songs feature George's vocals, and I'm learning, all over again, about the strange magic that Lennon and McCartney conjured up between themselves. It's just an astonishing body of work, you know? And, yeah, I love the Rooftop concert from Let It Be...
